Thoughts of martial arts immediately conjure up images of violence. Currently popular images of martial arts seem to support that. What we teach at Quest Self Defense is so much more than that. We teach very realistic self defense skills, and students quickly discover how much more there is.
It usually happens about two months in. Students begin to comment about the benefits they’re experiencing from their training that they just really didn’t expect. Everybody has their own reasons for deciding to try self-defense training. Some people want a workout, some want to feel safer, some just want to give something new a try. Whatever the initial motivation, most of our students refer to a variety of benefits they’re experiencing that have a lot to do with why they remain dedicated.
Here’s what our students are saying.
I came in for some kind of a different workout, and now it’s like I have another family.
I came in just to learn a little self-defense, not only am I feeling better about myself, I’ve lost some weight.
Somehow the training is causing me to be more motivated in every area of my life.
They really care about my progress, and really, about me as a person.
The people are so nice and supportive, and I feel so much more confident.
I’m really enjoying the body/mind connection I get. I know learning something new like this is good for my brain health.
If you’re looking for something holistic, good for your mind and body health, providing valuable practical skills and a supportive community, you have found it here at Quest Self Defense.
